I am a Child and Adult Psychiatrist with a thriving outpatient private practice in the Riverview and S. Tampa area, titled Embracing Life Wellness Center. We are currently looking to fill a full-time, experienced billing specialist with preferred days and times of Monday through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays are usually half days, though we can be somewhat flexible with this schedule.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-10 coding system
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials to ensure timely reimbursement
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the billing system
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding guidelines
- Assist with medical collections as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Medical Billing or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or coding
- Proficiency in medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10), and billing software/systems
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and insurance claim processing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
