When a child can’t remain safely in their home, we partner with local agencies to support them through foster care, adoption, mentoring and beyond to ensure that children in bad situations move toward brighter futures.Telecommuting/Remote work options available: HybridStarting salary: $70,400 - $80,960(negotiable based on experience)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------POSITION OBJECTIVE: To supervise, monitor and provide support to Behavioral Health Coordinators (BHC) responsible for ensuring that children are placed appropriately in the least restrictive level of care; ensure all functions related to higher levels of care are completed timely and documentation into Integrate is appropriate. Participate in CBCIH monitoring and ensure all policies are followed. Oversee UM interphase with Diversion and Post Adoptions program. Ensure that BHC’s are trained in all functions of the role. Serve as back up to Clinical Director in all functions assigned to that position.KEY FUNCTIONS:
Monitor and supervise Behavior Health Coordinators specific to the oversight of licensed out of home care and ensuring appropriate levels of care for children
Oversee higher levels of care and ensure suitability procedure is followed
Monitor the Placement Support Staffing process and ensure BHCs are adequately trained to facilitate and make clinical recommendations
Ensure all CBCIH policies are followed and maintain open communication flow
Ensure BHCs are documenting in Integrate and in FSFN, as appropriate
Monitor BHCs involvement with Diversion and Post Adoption cases
Establish collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
Monitor our System of Care needs related to clinical programming and make recommendations to the Director to enhance services or identify gaps
Ensure all BHCs are appropriately trained on Behavior Management and Child Placing Agreements
Participate in CBCIH/Sunshine activities or trainings
Participate in CBCIH monitoring and ensure all policies are followed.
Participate and co-facilitate CBCIH quarterly monitoring’s
Oversee UM interphase with Diversion and Post Adoptions program
Assess skill level of BHCs and make recommendations for enhancing clinical skills, making sure they are trained in all functions of the rol.
Assist the Director of Utilization Management with problem resolution and continuing quality improvements in all areas of responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
Master’s degree
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor or psychologist licensed under Chapter 490 fs
Five years experience in child welfare, mental health or juvenile justice management
Preferred:
Child welfare or related experience
Supervisory experience or project management including program planning and implementation
Experience in Utilization Management field
Knowledge of the funding & provider resources available in the county and surrounding area
Familiar with resources/services supports available for children with substance abuse, mental health, developmental disabilities, and delinquency issues.
SKILLS:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong computer, analytic and research skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to efficiently manage time
Ability to analyze, integrate and report data
Intermediate skill with spreadsheets and word processing
Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence & sensitivity to population served
Ability to travel
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace & Drug Screening. FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.
On-call assignments- Yes
Travel- local: 60% per week, long-distance: 1% per month
