We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Treasurer to join our team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in overseeing and managing the financial activities of our healthcare organization, ensuring its financial stability and supporting strategic growth.
Responsibilities:
-Manage and oversee daily cash flow operations, optimizing working capital, and ensuring adequate liquidity to meet organizational needs.
-Develop and implement cash flow forecasting models to anticipate future financial needs and mitigate potential risks.
-Manage banking relationships, negotiating and maintaining favorable terms with financial institutions.
-Oversee and manage investments, to the extent needed, adhering to investment policies and regulations.
-Analyze financial reports, such as cash flow statements, balance sheets, and variance analyses, providing insights to support informed decision-making.
-Support the Treasurer in developing and implementing financial strategies and policies.
-Stay up-to-date on current healthcare financial regulations and industry best practices.
-Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, accounting, and operations, to ensure financial alignment and support strategic initiatives.
-Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organizations financial assets and mitigate risks.
-Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial information and patient data.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a treasury or financial management role, preferably within the healthcare industry
-Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or CPA designation preferred
-Strong understanding of financial instruments, risk management principles, and investment strategies
-Proven ability to manage complex financial projects and initiatives
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels
-Demonstrated leadership potential
-Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and relevant treasury management software
