Position Overview:

As the fastest growing FinTech in the Bay Area, Eltropy has grown at an average of 134% over the last 5 years and increased CFI customers in the U.S. from 0 to 600. With its unified digital communications platform, GenAI and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities Eltropy is expected to maintain high growth over the next many years. 

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be responsible for leading our engineering and technology departments, driving technological innovation, and ensuring the alignment of technology initiatives with our business objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key role in shaping our technology strategy, fostering a culture of innovation, and overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions.

Key requirements:

  • Work from Eltropy’s HQ in the Bay Area
  • Spend a significant amount of your time in Bangalore as most of Eltropy’s engineering team is in India.
  • Track record of managing a team of 150 engineers
  • Worked as a technology leader at a B2B SaaS company grown to $100M ARR

Responsibilities:

  • Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the company's overall business objectives and drives innovation.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering and technology teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Product Development: Oversee the development of new products and features, ensuring high quality, scalability, and alignment with customer needs.
  • Technical Architecture: Define and maintain the technical architecture and standards for all products and systems, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Technology Stack: Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools that can enhance our products and services, and drive efficiency within the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and infrastructure, to support the engineering and technology departments.
  • Talent Development: Attract, retain, and develop top technical talent, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the organization.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges, ensuring the security and stability of our products and systems.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of leadership in technology roles, with at least [X] years of experience leading engineering and technology teams.
  • Deep technical expertise in software development, systems architecture, and technology infrastructure.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate business goals into technology initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, and develop top technical talent.
  • Experience working in [specific industry or domain, if applicable].
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
