This is a position that works a flexible schedule based on programs operational hours, ideally Monday to Friday. The pay is $15-17 per hour depending on experience and qualifications such as DCF mandated 45 hours and industry credentials. This position is onsite at our center located in the area Kissimmee & St. Cloud, FL – Osceola County
The Toddler Teacher works to coordinate engaging developmental activities and implements a curriculum that prepares children for school and enhances their pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills. The Toddler Teacher serves as a model and mentor. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support the growth and success of children 2 years of age.

What You’ll Do: 
• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards  
• Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching  
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth  
• Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement  
• Responsible for the supervision of children and management of a well-ordered classroom environment that ensures safety, cleanliness, and wellbeing.  
• Update bulletin boards with appropriate monthly theme, lesson plan overview, parent / student highlights, classroom newsletter, pertinent information.  
• Label, organize, and keep track of children’s personal belongings.  
• Participate in staff meetings, parent conference, and school functions.   
What We Need from You: 
• High School Diploma and/or GED or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study  
• DCF 45 hours required, and CDA preferred  
• Must clear a level II background check  
• Some professional early childhood training/experience  
• CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Certification completion within 30 days of employment  
• Cheerful, enthusiastic, and engaging in the workplace  
• Demonstrate empathy and patience in difficult situations 
• Strong communication skills and technology use skills  
• Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed  
• Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concern
