Job Description:
Galleria-area personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced litigation Attorney for our office. We are looking for a leader with significant 1st chair trial experience. As an attorney you will be well supported by legal assistants, paralegals, case managers and other staff who will help lead client communications, obtain and prepare documents, and assist with the various demands related to your cases. Overall organization and attention to detail are paramount to this position along with the willingness and ability to build rapport with clients and regularly interact with, adjusters, lawyers, paralegals and other staff over the phone and in-person.
Duties:
· Review and evaluate potential cases.
· Management of cases and develop strategy.
· Draft/Respond to complaints, motions, discovery and other events.
· Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions.
· Attend hearings, pre-trial conferences, trials and other events.
· Provide guidance and counsel to clients.
· Collaborate with departments, teams and attorneys.
· Negotiate and settle cases.
· Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
· Document all legal action and communication in the case files through our firm’s software.
· Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law is a plus.
Requirements:
· Extensive 1st Chair experience
· Active member in Good Standing of the Texas Bar
· Texas Bar License
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Professional and courteous to clients and staff
· Detail-oriented, team player
· Perform at a high level fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
· Skilled with computers and software (Needles Neos – is a plus)
