We are currently seeking a full-time Strategic Sourcing Manager. This position will identify cost savings opportunities, lead sourcing initiatives, collaborate on vendor purchasing programs, and direct the purchase of goods and services necessary for the operation of our business. You will have the means and opportunity to increase profits for the company by helping to drive strategic purchasing initiatives and reduce our material spend. Responsible for managing $30M annual spend covering a wide variety of technology platforms and services

Essential Responsibilities:

• Increase profits for the company by helping to drive strategic purchasing initiatives
• Demonstrate strong negotiating and cost reduction capabilities to provide the lowest total cost of ownership and optimal protection from multiple risk factors
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strategize, negotiate, and process new vendor contracts, renewals, and delivery on products
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current and future needs identify opportunities to consolidate spend and reduce costs
• Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for vendor rationalization
• Build, manage, and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Collaborate with Purchasing to identify sourcing projects to complete throughout the year
• Address and resolve vendor issues as it pertains to contractual obligations and commitments, including service levels, product / service quality, and pricing
• Perform routine supplier reviews
• Strong focus on delivering customer savings and enterprise value
• Pull and analyze spend data to develop business insights that guide business decisions
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Skill Requirements:

• BS / BA in purchasing, supply chain, business, or equivalent
• A certification in Supply Chain Management (ISM), CPM or related is a plus
• 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or related Supply Chain field
• 3 years of management experience
• Experience in manufacturing, welding fabrication, and machining required
• A self-managed individual who is a team player
• Strong oral and written communication and skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Working knowledge of the procurement function; negotiating, competitive bidding, supplier selection, and contract writing
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to perform in depth analysis, interpret data and present results into actionable steps to senior leadership
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail, process orientation and project management skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Highly professional, able to manage multiple vendor relationships simultaneously
