About Us:

Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of thrust reversers (the braking system on a jet engine), engine nacelle components and specialized aerostructures. It supplies and supports these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers and aircraft operators. Located on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay near Baltimore, MRAS has a 1.7-million sq. ft. facility situated on 180 acres – where the company and its predecessors have designed, built and equipped civil and military aircraft for over 90 years. In 2019, MRAS was acquired by ST Engineering North America, the U.S. affiliate of Singapore-based ST Engineering – becoming a part of its global network of aerospace facilities and offices. With the ownership change, the company was renamed Middle River Aerostructure Systems.

 Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining accuracy of master data in SAP in a timely manner.
• Execute changes & mass updates to SAP master data (e.g., material, purchasing info record, bill of material etc.) as approved by the business.
• Run various reports in SAP to support sourcing organization.
• Participate actively in sourcing team meetings, so as to be aware of current happenings and action accordingly.
• Single point of contact for all department updates in SAP including but not limited to; item master, requisitions, PO update via mass update transactions.
• Ensure data quality, compliance and consistency of master data across business systems.
• Support the business with required procedures, submit incidents and change requests when needed.
• Work closely with business process experts in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation.
• Should be able to present the data as and when required at a short notice, confidently and accurately.
• Be active part of the sourcing team and work closely with team members to achieve the overall department goal.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of supply chain experience with proficiency in Master data maintenance in SAP.

Master Data Specialist Qualifications / Skills:

• Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Strong Analytical skill set mandatory. Prefer advanced Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint) experience.
• Previous master data management experience in SAP, 2 years’ experience in master data management preferably in global projects/companies.
• Experience working within a multi-cultural environment.
• Working knowledge of Supplier Portals.
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams while also being able to work independently.
