Ellens Equipment Sales - Job description
Ellens Equipment Inc is a family owned, agricultural, construction and landscaping equipment dealer. The company offers equipment repair services, parts and sales of several different types of equipment from a variety of manufacturers.
Ellens Equipment is looking for a personable, reliable and hardworking member to join our sales team, focused on agricultural and construction equipment including New Holland, Develon equipment. As a Sales Representative, your job duties would include but are not limited to:
1. Making personal calls at customer sites
2. Seeking out prospective customers and business opportunities
3. Pricing equipment and evaluation of trade values
4. Responsible for maintaining current product knowledge on all new and used equipment commonly used in the area of responsibility
5. Responsible for developing sales plans and forecasts for assigned customers and maintaining sales management information in customer CRM software
6. Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of agricultural and construction techniques utilized in the area and able to utilize this knowledge to make recommendations and suggestions to improve customer’s operation
7. Oversee delivery, set-up, start-up and operator training
8. Conduct field demonstrations of new equipment and operate demonstration equipment in customer’s field as required.
9. Maintain current knowledge of various financing options and products available

Competency: The position requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of current agricultural and construction issues, strong math skills, outstanding negotiation skills and competency in all aspects of computerized sales tools and reports, willingness to work flexible hours and must possess excellent customer relationship skills.
Experience: Agriculture and Construction Equipment Use/Sales: 5 years (Required)
Education: BS Business or sales preferred, not required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to safely operate equipment, mount and dismount equipment, safely hook-up, secure and transport equipment. Periods of extensive sitting, standing and squatting are routinely required. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Job Type: Full-time
