Job Title: Business Office (Billing)
Department: Administration
Reports To: Business Office Manager
SUMMARY
Performs activities of billing department as it pertains to accounts receivable
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned
Assists with Accounts Receivable
Maintains cash receipts
Maintain petty cash box
Post monthly charges and cash receipts to residents' accounts
Complete billing statements
Bill Medicaid electronically
Bill Medicare Part A/B, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and other commercial insurances
Familiarize new residents and/ or family members of billing procedures
Assist with answering telephone calls.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, knowledge and practice of standard accounting practices
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents, resident families, and employees of the organization.
