Summary

Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients by ensuring the new admission process is completed and followed up on with accrruate orders and follow up as requried.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participates in the determination of nursing care needs based upon collection and interpretation of data relevant t the health status of a client.
• Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to defect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
• Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
• Receives and transcribes physician's orders, written and verbal.
• Assists with admission and assessment of new patient's according to facility policy.
• Ensures that orders are entered in correctly
• Reviews hospital discharge documentation
• Attention to detail
• Documents in patients' chart according to nursing protocol and facility policy.
• Communicates patient appointments to facility staff responsible for arranging transportation.
• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of patients' condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• May particiapte in oncall nurse rotation
