This is Butler’s Pantry.

And we are looking for someone who lives to serve and knows that

teamwork is the foundation of success to be our Lead Line Cook.

The Lead Line Cook ensures all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the specifications and commitment to quality set forth by Butler’s Pantry. The Lead Line Cook will assist in the training of new culinary hires, as well as assist the sous chef with their daily tasks.

Your COMMITMENT to us:

GET THE JOB DONE (The necessary stuff)

  • Train new culinary employees to meet Butler’s Pantry standards
  • Arrive at your station ready to work at scheduled time and in proper uniform
  • Work at a brisk and steady pace
  • Recipe knowledge when prepping or assisting with any other production step
  • Use scales, measuring spoons, recipe cards and perform portion control tests
  • Maintain the kitchen and all of its equipment to a “like new” condition
  • Clean as you go
  • Prep your work station at the end of the day for your next shift
  • Carry out instructions assigned by sous chef

LEAD BY ACTION & BY EXAMPLE (The stuff that makes an impact)

  • In the sous chef’s absence, lead the kitchen staff
  • Model appropriate behavior and encourage team members to follow suit.
  • Act as an ambassador of the Company by sharing the Company’s core values, vision and direction with others.

Additional Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance workload
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Ability to interact with people with ease, using highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Mature, independent judgment and ability to handle a fast pace, stress and change, in a professional manner
  • Ability to work a flexible and sometimes non-traditional schedule
