JOB OVERVIEW

As a Senior Director on our Consulting team, you will analyze complex business and marketing situations and advise top client-side executives on how marketing can support their business. With expertise in client brands and strategies, you will lead engagements by developing and executing marketing plans and initiatives. Experience in change management is required, with extensive experience working with executives and a deep understanding of complex business and marketing problems. With clarity into the business needs, you can quickly assemble the right talent in the room to get the right job done for your clients. In essence, you sell the work, the strategy, the experience, and the expectation.

AS A SENIOR DIRECTOR, A TYPICAL WEEK MIGHT LOOK SOMETHING LIKE THIS:

  • Share key client learnings with the team after returning from a quarterly strategy session with your largest client. 
  • Pull together a deck that summarizes the problems a client needs to solve and provide a suggested path forward after brainstorming with our President.
  • Represent your client’s marketing strategy and results at a quarterly board meeting. 
  • Give a client a one-on-one call to set client expectations before a big presentation.
  • Attend Sandler Sales training with the Consulting Team and roleplay a significant sales conversation you have coming up with your largest client.
  • Update your account plans (annual client revenue prediction) and deal pipeline to ensure Element Three’s Executive Team has the most up-to-date financial forecast 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell and manage $2M in revenue across your client accounts. Typically 3-6 accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth and meet client objectives
  • Work closely with executives to understand their business and marketing problems and provide recommendations on how marketing can serve them more effectively
  • Lead the team to deliver high-quality work and ensure that projects are completed on time, on strategy, and within budget
  • Build strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor to help them achieve their business goals
  • Drive new business by identifying opportunities and developing proposals for new clients
  • Collaborate with other teams, including creative, digital, and account management, to deliver integrated marketing solutions
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to provide thought leadership to clients and the consulting team
  • Mentor and develop junior team members to build a high-performing team

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a client-facing role in a consulting or agency environment, with a deep understanding of complex business and marketing problems
  • Proven track record of working with executives to drive strategic growth and deliver exceptional results
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to execute complex business strategies
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of various business strategies and models
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience as an in-house marketing leader and/or fractional CMO a plus

NOTE: This is not a remote position. While we are a hybrid work environment, this role requires the ability to be physically present 80% of the time.
