The Operations Director will coordinate the daily production activities in all phases of Assembly operations so as to meet business objectives. He/She will coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production, as well as quality and safety to meet specifications. Candidates must strongly rely on team work, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, organize, direct and provide leadership necessary for achieving plant objects in the areas of safety, quality, performance, and cost.
  • Responsible for successful attainment of daily production objectives, implementation of policies, and most effective utilization of available resources.
  • Ensure effective communication between shifts and between departments.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate total plant team in production, quality, materials and maintenance.
  • Provides direct leadership to the plant production, quality, maintenance, and material departments.
  • Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, variances, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Exercise continuous leadership to focus efforts on shifting priorities.
  • Lead in problem resolution in order to ensure that all products and processes are continuously improving.
  • Manage downtime issues (equipment, part shortages, full/short, etc)
  • Full ownership of all decisions to minimize productivity impacts
  • Align manpower based on plant needs.
  • Ensure Safety Compliance and Accident Investigated is conducted thoroughly and timely.
  • Plans and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology Degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and knowledge in ERP, Time and Attendance, and OEE systems.
  • Exceptional Problem-Solving Skills
  • Strong aptitude for details
  • Communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
  • Proven presence that commands the respect and trust of customers and employees at all levels with the organization.
  • Possess the flexibility in reacting to new situations and adaptability for working in a new environment.
  • Strong results orientation and positive "can do" attitude with a sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Self-starter: a "hands-on" individual who enjoys challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
