Description

Job Overview: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department; including hiring and interviewing staff, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies, procedures and practices.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Please Note: This is not an all-inclusive document. Additional duties, expectations, demands, etc. may be added or changed to this document on an as-needed basis to meet organizational needs.

  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conduct employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits, and organizing team-building activities
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have superior interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
