Control Panel Assembler (Mechanical)
Summary:
We are seeking skilled Assembly Operators with a proven track record of 3-5 years in Mechanical Assembly of Switchgear, Control Panels, Power Distribution Cabinets, and related equipment.
  • The ideal candidate will excel in assembling frame kits, creating sub-assemblies, attaching components, and ensuring precise installations as per specifications.
Responsibilities:
  • Assemble frame kits to optimize assembly processes.
  • Create ground/neutral bus sub-assemblies.
  • Attach covers onto roof plates with precision.
  • Accurately cut wireways for proper fitting.
  • Attach insulators to brackets and torque to specified standards.
  • Label components and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Handle and install pre-cut wireways and insulators.
  • Mount and align components such as CTs (Current Transformers) and breaker lines.
  • Verify pre-cut panel dimensions for accuracy before installation.
  • Install and secure wireways, Smissline, breaker units, and plates according to guidelines.
  • Ensure proper positioning and torque application for breaker installation.
  • Use specialized tools for torque and assembly purposes.
  • Run copper for lower buss and connect to designated In/Out Connections.
  • Set up Din Rail and wireways per specifications.
  • Layout and install various components with precision and efficiency.
  • Apply appropriate measures such as taping vents to prevent debris contamination.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in Mechanical Assembly of Switchgear, Control Panels, or Power Distribution Cabinets.
  • Proficiency in following assembly instructions and technical diagrams.
  • Familiarity with using tools and equipment essential for assembly tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in assembly work.
  • Capacity to comprehend and execute tasks related to torque specifications and component installation.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new assembly procedures and techniques.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a production line environment.
