About the Position

Eldergrow’s business is growing rapidly. This is a small but mighty team, and you will drive new revenue and manage our national large accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to double revenue in the next 12 months and 10x in the next three years. You will be responsible for finding (meaning you need to be a hunter) and closing scalable new business and increasing the garden orders of our large existing customers - both through direct sales. You will manage the account over its lifecycle with the direct support of the Operations team. Senior living experience is ideal.

This is an important individual contributor leadership position requiring strategic thinking, relationship building, financial acumen, and the ability to develop and drive new sales - through innovative business development, positive customer relationships and customer experience. This position reports directly to the CEO and is part of the leadership team.

Location: Mostly remote with travel for meetings, conferences, events

Compensation: 85K and bonus plan

Exempt: 40 hours with benefits including 401K match, medical, dental, vision, vacation and sick leave.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage the overall pipeline and provide reporting to the leadership team and guidance to staff to move accounts through the funnel
  • Maintain existing key relationships and identify new key customer relationships at a national/regional level and participate in RFPs (direct sales)
  • Identify and vet potential partnership deals, new channels and new opportunities with a focus on scalable predictable revenue streams
  • Set annual department budget
  • Manage staff focused on new sales and driving leads
  • Work with the Operations team to effectively transition new sales for onboarding and for ongoing customer success satisfaction and management
  • Support the content team to evaluate and improve sales channels, messages, collateral, and annual campaigns
  • Identifying where improvements can be made for tools, processes and cross-team collaboration and developing plans and strategies to achieve your goals.
  • Monitoring the market and competitor products and activities
  • Review partnership activity, anticipating needs and improving overall satisfaction
  • Support any high-level negotiations on behalf of the company
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of sales and business development management experience
  • Proven track record of scaling paid partnerships with six and seven figure deals
  • Experience at juggling both day-to-day sales efforts and future partnership opportunities
  • Thorough understanding of pipeline management, acquisition funnel optimization and providing customer feedback to executive teams
  • Previous P&L responsibility preferred
  • Highly analytical with problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Great strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or relevant experience equivalent
  • Hands-on, “in the trenches” style with a strong work ethic

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. At least 5 years of industry-related experience including 5 years in upper management required experience in project management, customer service, marketing, and public speaking. Gardening experience is not required, but a love of nature is.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

Must successfully pass a background check applicable to the position. In light of our customers' requirements to serve their vulnerable populations, openness to vaccinations and modeling expectations for pre-emptive care under future health care challenges is expected.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Google Apps (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and CRM experience.
