POSITION: Customer Service Worker

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Customer Service Worker will report directly to the Youth Administrator. Will perform general office duties for the YouthSource Center. Will answer telephones, record messages, provide information on center services, and conduct initial screening of customers, schedule appointments for center staff and collaborators. Will conduct typing of correspondence reports, memorandums and other center programmatic forms and documentation.

Will maintain schedules and prepare meeting rooms and classrooms for programmatic and collaborative activities. Will provide tours for employers and collaborators. Will ensure that programmatic and equipment supplies are maintained. Will perform additional duties as assigned. Will drive company van to transport youth to different locations.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: The Customer Service Worker must have strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act/YouthSource customers, employers, visitors, staff, collaborators and management. Must have an understanding of all the services provided at the center and be able to provide the information via telephone or in person. This position requires experience in screening customers, employers and visitors. Prior experience working with employment and training programs, human resources and personnel programs is preferred. Must have strong typing and computer skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must submit a Department’s of Motor Vehicles driver’s record. Must submit to and pass a drug test and a criminal background clearance as a pre-condition for employment. Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster. Must possess a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid Driver’s license.

QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years’ experience in performing general office duties in training/placement, onboarding and/or in human resources.
