JOB SUMMARY:

The Branch Manager is an entrepreneurial, customer facing position at EJ Welch. This position will manage staff, foster a positive environment, and ensure customer satisfaction and proper branch operations. This role will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity within the warehouse function and enable sales target achievements within the ProShop by EJ Welch and assigned Inside Sales Accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct all operational aspects of local branch operations, customer support at the ProShop counter, and employee management for all local branch personnel.
• Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective Inside Accounts and ProShop sales opportunities.
• In collaboration with the Branch Director, develop product forecasts for Inside Accounts, also leading the placement of residential and commercial samples/displays for assigned accounts.
• Bring out the best of the branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation.
• Manage ProShop inventory by having the correct product mix and levels, request appropriate stocking levels of products, conduct daily cycle counts and periodic physical inventories, monitor slow moving items, and account for breakage and adjustments.
• Network with local associations and trade groups to improve the presence and reputation of the ProShop strategy and Inside Accounts.

Warehouse Operations

• Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all safety and HR practices within the state’s guidelines.
• Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
• Ensure safety protocols are being achieved.
• Manage all warehouse operations processing inbound and outbound shipments and returns.
• Act as Branch Safety Coordinator ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.

Business Leadership

• Share knowledge with other branches on effective best practices, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities, additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous customer service, warehousing, purchasing, order fulfillment, and operations experience in a managerial capacity.
• Strong leadership skills and interpersonal effectives.
• Computer literate and a strong business acumen.
• Process Management and People-based skills.
• Previous flooring distribution experience in a sales environment preferred.
