Role Overview:
As an IT Help Desk Technician at Best Roofing, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our employees, executives and office locations for various IT issues and inquiries. Working under the IT administrator, you will be the frontline support for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical problems, ensuring smooth operations across the organization for all locations (Ft Lauderdale HQ, Palm Beach County and Miami-Dade County Offices).
Core Focus:
The core focus of this role is to deliver timely and effective technical support to internal users, maintain IT systems and equipment, and contribute to the overall efficiency of Best Roofing's IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person at any location, with travel to additional offices based on urgency and on an as needed basis.
  • Monitor and respond to IT help desk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring SLA compliance with ticketing system and internal dashboard data.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and escalate complex problems to the IT administrator when necessary.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and track inventory of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of software applications and user accounts.
  • Responsible for the creation of new hire accounts, set up, and preparation for employee onboarding.
  • Document and track all support activities and resolutions using ticketing systems.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups.
  • Assist in the implementation of IT policies, procedures, and security measures.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on IT-related topics and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintenance of a secure and stable IT environment.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or similar certification with experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or a similar role in IT support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems.
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD) managing groups and users.
  • VoIP experience and troubleshooting proficiency.
  • Proficient in endpoint management.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Office 365 administration, and other company specific software.
  • Basic understanding of IT security principles and best practices or experience working L2 helpdesk request.
  • Have and maintains a valid driver's license, as travel to all Best Roofing Locations is required (Includes Palm Beach County, Miami Dade County and Broward County offices)
  • Comfortable sitting at a desk or navigating areas of the business, sit, stand, reach, and lift to 50 lbs.
