Opportunity Overview The EJ Field Agency (EJFA) is part of an overall suite of creative and content offerings that Edward Jones is providing its branch offices. The EJFA will specialize in branch-specific content creation. The EJFA will offer exclusive access to a premium agency experience working with branches in one of three ways: a la carte, monthly subscription, and subscription plus, which gives subscribers access to entirely bespoke campaign development.
The firm's more than 19,000 financial advisors serve more than 8 million clients with a total of $1.9 trillion in client assets under care as of December 2023. Edward Jones has a branch presence in 68% of U.S. counties.
We are seeking a "Business Leader" (Senior Account Manager in industry parlance) to serve as a strategic partner and point-of-contact to branches who seek an agency relationship. The Business Leader will also be responsible for the team of Associates / Account Managers servicing the branches in a similar capacity today.
We seek a Leader who eats, sleeps and breathes the Edward Jones business and has a deep appreciation for the local market, in-branch experience. The selected candidate will be a highly engaged liaison between the branches' rational marketing objectives/messages and the creative translations of those into work that works.
What you'll do.. The Business Leader will be responsible for developing a consistent and high-quality experience for the end client, growing the health of client relationships, and overseeing the efficient and effective development of our projects - and our visions. You will be part of a broader group - the in-house Edward Jones Agency (EJA) - a high-energy and highly regarded full-service team, in pursuit of helping make Edward Jones famous.
Responsibilities:
- Account Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for key branch office clients assigned (spanning around 25 branch teams), understanding their objectives and translating them into actionable strategies and agency briefs. Provide consultative, proactive partnership and build trusting relationships between these client partners and EJ Field Agency. Provide content and marketing recommendations and strategies, with supporting rationale. Regularly communicate with branch office clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns. Develop proficiency for the clients assigned (products/services priorities, markets/audiences, competitive landscape).
- Marketing Strategy : Confidently develop, present, and execute marketing strategies in line with branch office client objectives, audience insights, and in consideration of firm priorities, working closely with these clients to ensure their needs and goals are met. Help connect dots across projects and identify strategic opportunities. Leverage and help the branch build integrated plans across channels when possible.
- Agency Reputation Management : Develop a mastery of the capabilities and service offerings of the EJ Field Agency. Educate clients on the capabilities and service offerings the internal agency provides, building confidence in the team's ability to partner effectively in support of the business. Earn trust delivering today's projects while planning for tomorrows.
- Edward Jones Brand Stewardship: Understand brand positioning, key messages, brand standards and growth plans of Edward Jones to advocate for stronger, more consistent marketing initiatives and campaigns for the firm, that also drive value for branches.
- Team Leadership : Help lead, mentor, and motivate EJ Field Agency Account Managers as the team grows, providing guidance, setting clear goals, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Budget Management : Monitor campaign /project budgets and resource plans effectively, to optimize firm investments to achieve the best results.
- Data Familiarity: Have experience or strong curiosity towards using data, analytics, and insights to influence and measure creative ideas; work with appropriate teammates to provide recommendations for optimization and improvement.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure that all marketing materials and campaigns meet the highest quality standards and are delivered on time.

Position Requirements What you'll need... - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master's Degree or MBA is a plus.
- 10 years in communications, creative, digital, advertising or marketing, with a background in client leadership, at an agency or in a collaborative team setting.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful integrated marketing strategies, at varying sizes and scopes. Experience supporting local marketing / local activation is a plus.
- Strong emotional intelligence/maturity.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Intellectually curious.
- Results-oriented leader who can develop and convey program strategies, and simultaneously deliver solutions through practical, disciplined execution.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, overseeing multiple active projects of varying scopes, concurrently.
- Experience in Adobe Workfront a plus.
- Client-focused mindset, consultative approach to projects, and strong relationship-building skills are required.
- Financial services industry and/or other regulated industry experience is preferred.
Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
