Each team member holds unique content expertise. The fusion of these professional strengths empowers the Finance Team to serve the organization and manage an annual revenue of $16M. This Temporary Finance Assistant role is a three-to-six-month position. This part-time team member will work 20 hours/week in our Watertown, MA office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The Temporary Finance Assistant will directly report to our Senior Staff Accountant and work closely with our Staff Accountant to support daily operations. The hourly rate for this role is $23/hour to $35/hour, based on the successful hire’s experience and alignment with our organizational needs. As a temporary, part-time employee, the Temporary Finance Assistant is not eligible for benefits. However, they will have access to our office gym, enjoy weekly lunches provided by ERS, and learn alongside intelligent, highly competent professionals. Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Review and approve expense reports as a first approver and reconcile credit card transactions within expense report submissions
Maintain the centralized finance email inbox
Process invoices in Mineral Tree, including the assignment of invoice approvers
Support timesheet submission accountability, including follow-up with individual team members
QualificationsTechnical skills
Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook
Attention to detail
Preferred: Previous accounts payable (A/P) experience and knowledge of Mineral Tree and Concur SAP
Interpersonal skills
Dedicated to providing excellent customer service in support and all interactions
Highly self-motivated and willing to assume additional responsibilities as needed
Ability to work independently, cooperatively, and proactively as part of a mission-driven team
