Senior Network Engineer Overview
Edifecs is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full range of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, security appliances, cloud-based networks and other LAN/WAN systems for Edifecs. You also will have a high aptitude in directing and coordinating design, administration, uptime, performance, service level, operational plans, security, and trouble shooting of network infrastructure systems in a 24X7 enterprise environment.
What you will do:

• Provides expert advice to the organization regarding long-range, strategic goals concerning network and systems for the organization. Develops and recommends network/infrastructure enhancements for data and systems.
• Plans and implements major infrastructure systems installations. Makes key project decisions. Develops criteria for systems, system design, budget, testing methods, quality standards, and completion dates.
• Designs, implements and maintains high quality and highly available network infrastructure and security services
• Develop network standards based on industry best practice
• Resolution of Tier 3 incidents as a hands-on expert
• Adhere to and improve processes, policies and procedures
• Mentor and provide assistance to junior staff in diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and network problems.
• Develops methodology and analyzes infrastructure capacity based on business forecasts and systems and capacity planning. Pro-actively addresses capacity issues. Maintains network data and develops reports on capacity/performance/SLA metrics
• Manages and directs professional level vendors and consultants.
• Respond to outages during business and after-hours. Participates in 24x7 on-call rotation process.
• Other duties as assigned of a similar nature or level.

What you will bring :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Expected to work in our Bellevue HQ three times a week
• 7 years of experience demonstrating expertise in leading, configuring, managing, and implementing IT industry best practices for network devices, supporting mission-critical technology solutions, configuring and troubleshooting networks, clustering, and wireless solutions, performing network management and monitoring, and applying risk management practices
• 7 years experience of Multi-site, multi-cloud, high-availability data center design, implementation, and operation
• 7 years experience of Enterprise virtualization
• Experience working in 24x7 production environment management
• Expertise in Leading network infrastructure (Cisco preferred).
• Hands on with Network security (multi-cloud firewalls, automations)

• Experience with multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/Fortinet preffered) firewalls and demonstrated development of automation scripts and tools
• Experience in creating, implementing and supporting VPNs, VLANs, HSRP, BGP, Trunking, VoIP, QoS, ASA's and CSS.

• Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Advanced Networking, CCIE/CCDP, or equivalent network engineering expertise.

Note: The expected base pay range for this position is $108,699 - $149,000 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, and experience.
