You'll be joining a full service, collaborative team.In addition to joining our two full-time doctors, you will be supported by a team of technicians, and our practice manager. The Edgewater team is Recover Rescuer certified, Fear Free certified;Rescue Certified Receptionists/Office Manager are BLS certified, Technicians are BLS and ALS certified!

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key medical communication liaison between the hospital and area leadership.
• Partner with the Practice Manager to manage the hospital as role models and champions of United Veterinary Care’s brand to provide consistent high-quality care and unmatched client experience to the most pets and clients and to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Train the team on hospital guidelines and practices. Supervise and train the team to ensure compliance.
• Teach and coach on case management, exam room communication, annual reviews and excellent client service and monthly doctor meetings (refer to doctor meeting best practices document).
• Supports regular staff meetings and holds all staff accountable for knowing what has been discussed and how it impacts the health of the hospital.
• Sets the medical vision for the hospital, advocating and ensuring medical quality with optimum client experience.
• Works supportively with the hospital (practice) manager in understanding administrative and personnel issues while building effective teams.
• Engages associate veterinarians by developing talent, creating collaborative relationships, and delivering consistent results.
• Makes sound judgments and utilizes UVC leadership when needed.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. 
• Active, or ability to obtain, FL license in good standing to practice
