TITLE: CISCO PRE-SALES TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST (SOLUTION ARCHITECT)

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is part of ourSD&S (Solution Design and Services) team.The SD&S team designs complete solutions to help ourcustomers (resellers)win their sales deals. You will oversee a certain technology group - in this case, Cisco - and support both internal associates and external customers (resellers and their end-users) with pre-sales network design-oriented solutions. Our team loves helping people understand technology, and in this role, you will talk to Ingram Micro partners about their Cisco networking requirements. That could mean building out a new data center, refreshing a schools wireless network, or finding the right firewall solution to secure a business!

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Excellent communication skills
* Technical aptitude and ability to learn
* Customer support experience within a field of technology is preferred
* This role will focus on solution selling products within and across the Cisco technology portfolio.
* Basic knowledge of Cisco products and technologies. For example, familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls/security solutions, wireless access points, data center networking, servers, and/or network management solutions.
* CCNA / CMNA / Blackbelt Stage I /II, or other Cisco certifications preferred but not required.
* Solution Architecture / Engineering background is beneficial.
YOUR TYPICAL DAY:
* Answering customer requests on assigned lines (product categories) within defined service levels.
* Providing excellent customer service while architecting complete solutions and network designs for Ingram Micros customers
* Developing product knowledge and selling skills for creating accurate, detailed solutions while offering options, accessories, and services to accompany the opportunity.
* Demonstrating the importance of getting the sale related to the value created
* Demonstrating time management skills
* May act as a vendor lead/PoC for Cisco
YOUR SKILLSET:
* High school education required
* One year (minimum) related experience in the following: Network technician, Technical Sales, Customer service
* Technical certifications preferred (CCNA / CMNA / Blackbelt Stage I /II, or other Cisco certifications)
* Skills in: keyboarding, MS Office Suite (Word & Excel), basic sales skills, time management; good communication skills (written & verbal) excellent listening skills
* Ability to: learn complex proprietary systems; to work as a team member or independently, to relay/share information accurately.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed. (Operating hours are 9:00 AM - 6:30 pm EST)
