EdFirst MN is Hiring a School Psychologist Near Saint Paul, MN

We are searching for an experienced school psychologist to support our schools in the Twin Cities region. The work will mostly be virtual with some occasional onsite visits for student assessments/observation and the schedule will be very flexible. The School Psychologist will be responsible for administering psychological evaluations and contributing to the development of student plans. We are looking for either a part-time, full-time or a contracted school psychologist for the 2024-2025 school year.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students and participate in team meetings and problem-solving meetings.

2. Analyze and interpret assessment data using statistical techniques, knowledge of instruments and understanding of disabling conditions.

3. Prepare and submit required written and oral reports for children referred for possible special education.

4. Observe students in school and school-related settings.

5. Consult with school staff, administration, and parents in resolving students' academic, social, emotional and behavioral concerns.

6. Coordinate and facilitate students' needs, including evaluations, counseling, consultation, crisis intervention, threat and risk assessments.

7. Collaborate with school staff and/or parents in developing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining behavioral and other interventions.

8. Assist students with the development of goals and action plans.

9. Participate in continuing professional development.

Requirements

- Master’s degree in School Psychology or Psychology.

- Working knowledge of School Psychology's principles, practices, and ethical standards.

- Working knowledge of special education laws, rules and regulations, and district policies and procedures.

- Experience and the ability to work in a diverse cross-cultural environment.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with young people from diverse backgrounds.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce reports and convey information in a range of formats, appropriate for the target audience.
