This is a 10 month (school year) position paid over 12 months. Designs for Learning is an educational consulting firm supporting Charter Schools and Non Profits in the state of Minnesota. Our Special Education team supports over 30 charter schools in the Twin Cities Metro and surrounding areas. We are looking to add another school psychologist to our team for the new school year. Responsibilities:

· Collaboration with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to improve student academic achievement.

· Administration and communication the results of intellectual assessments.

· Participation in Child Study meetings and provide feedback on pre-referral interventions.

· Supporting diverse learners by assessing their needs in a culturally responsive manner.

· Collaborating to create appropriate Individualized Education Program (IEP), to include program modifications and adaptations.

· Working to create safe and positive school climates and help to implement school-wide behavioral supports.

Qualifications:

· Current Minnesota license as a licensed School Psychologist.

· Knowledge and understanding of Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards, learning theory and practice, curriculum, interventions and programming.

· Demonstrate the ability to organize and synthesize verbal and written data.

· Respond quickly to a variety of stakeholder requests and manage timelines.

· Work cooperatively and effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment with various staff and related service providers.
