You will be primarily responsible for the billing and negotiation of residential and commercial claims, collaborating with customer’s insurance companies regarding scope of work or damages and additional funds required. This involves creating final invoices and tracking payments.

You will be primarily responsible for the billing and negotiation of residential and commercial claims, collaborating with customer’s insurance companies regarding scope of work or damages and additional funds required. This involves creating final invoices and tracking payments.
TO DO LIST:
- Maximize office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications
- Research and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow
- Review department procedures to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
- Coordinate activities between departments
- Maintain contact with customers and outside vendors.
- Prepare activities reports for guidance for management
- Support Commercial and Residential Sales Managers and their Project Managers throughout their job process
- Partner with HR to maintain office policies as necessary
- Organize all office operations and procedures
- Analyze and interprets insurance claims to check for accuracy
- Create supplemental scopes for residential and commercial projects
- Address missed items such as size discrepancies, overlooked items, code requirements etc.
- Create professional relationships with insurance adjusters while negotiating requested supplements
- Gather code documentation from state municipalities and presenting a detailed description of required roof components to the insurance carriers for review
- Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices; and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered
- Keep records of invoices and support documents.
- Contact customers to obtain or relay account information.
- Record and updates information about the financial status of customers and status of collection efforts
- Manage Billing Specialist tasks and oversees productivity throughout the Billing Office
- Efficiently handles escalated billing tasks and projects
Skills & Knowledge:
- Minimum of 2 years of Xactimate experience
- Minimum of 2 years reading and interpreting insurance paperwork
- Must have a general knowledge of roofing and construction
- Must have experience working with a CRM (preferably Salesforce)
- Must have a high level of experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
