Assists the Payroll Administrator with administering and processing the weekly payroll activities of a high-volume, multi-state centralized payroll process. Performs tasks to prepare and process biweekly and weekly payrolls at Easterseals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain Inc (“ESGW”). Ensures the accuracy of timecard records entered into the time and attendance and payroll systems. Works to ensure all payroll functions are accurate, timely and reliable. Ensures the customer service provided by the Payroll department is timely and above expectations, including payroll related information requests. Critically reviews and analyzes current procedures in order to recommend and implement changes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness. Assists with the preparation and reconciliation of all payroll tax and unemployment reports by maintaining accurate and timely information. Performs a variety of routine office/clerical duties such as filing, coding, posting, typing, and other duties as required and assigned. 

Requirements

  • Communicates effectively both written and orally with customers, co-workers, and clients.
  • Experience with Ultimate Software (UKG), and Wellsky payroll software packages preferred.
  • Office experience plus knowledge of calculator, word processing, and spreadsheet programs required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
  • Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements.
  • Available to work overtime as needed.
  • All positions require the completion of a background check. Acknowledging or having criminal convictions does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.

Experience

  • 3-5 years
  • Related experience in bookkeeping/accounting/payroll training.
  • High School/Equivalent
  • Accounting aptitude required.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation preferred.
