East County San Diego Soccer Shots is Hiring a Director of Operations Near La Mesa, CA

Key Role:

The Director of Operations is a true behind-the-scenes manager, ensuring that the in-office and online success encompasses the professional quality of Soccer Shots. The Director of Operations encompasses, emphasizes, and delivers on 2 of the 3 pillars of the Soccer Shots Franchising Brand Promise: Communication and Coaches. This role is a driving part of the success of each coach, location, and family served. The Director of Operations is responsible for handling the schedules of each coach and location. It is the spine of the organization and ensures smooth operations in all departments. The Director of Operations is someone who is organized and can look 6 months to 1 year down the road, as they will map out future seasons for our families and team members. Job Summary:

Duties and responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

  • Accountable for all scheduling for 20-50 people at 200 different locations
  • Manages online platforms, Configio, Bitly, When I Work, Google Drive
  • Creates and maintains master calendar
  • Oversees all operation accountabilities
  • Accountable for customer experience online and over phones
  • Continually streamlines processes and systems for better productivity
  • Responsible for department accountability and communicates the need for new coaches to recruiter
  • Partners with Department Heads
  • Maintains professionalism in office appearance and culture
  • Upholds customer and employee process and policy
  • Responsible for mentoring direct reports
  • Responsible for running weekly department meetings
  • Integral part of Leadership Team L10s (EOS Traction by Gino Wickman)
  • Represents Soccer Shots at community and Soccer Shots run events, a minimum of 1 time per quarter
  • Responsible for departments inventory & purchasing / budget
  • Responsible for payroll systems, employee timesheets and 401k program
  • Assists in company retreats

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • 2-3 years of scheduling 20-50 employees
  • 1-2 years of experience in payroll systems, 401k programs, accounts payable/receivable
  • Degree in Business Management, Business Administration or Finance preferred
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Reliable transportation to travel to classes all over San Diego and San Diego County
  • The ability to communicate with the Soccer Shots office while in the field
  • Proof of TB test within the past 2 years from date of hire OR proof of TB test taken within 6 months after the hire date; proof of a new TB test must be taken every 2 years
  • Proof of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or enrolled within first 1 year of employment
  • Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification must be completed within 2 months of the start date; Pediatric CPR Certification must be reissued every 2 years
  • Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required
  • Continued training in Child Development, Education, and Leadership
  • Certified in positive discipline
  • Availability 90% of Soccer Shots business hours, Saturday’s required
  • Coach 5-10 Soccer Shots classes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
