Job Objective: Generate sales orders while ensuring optimal customer service. Increases sales dollars and profits through communication with customers and Branch management. Possesses or attains knowledge of all products and services offered by East Coast Metal Distributors and has the ability to communicate this knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develops and maintains assigned customer accounts.

· Actively seeks new accounts.

· Answers phones and assists customers.

· Enters, analyzes and monitor customer pricing letters for assigned accounts.

· Collects receivables from assigned accounts.

· Assists in counter sales as needed.

· Communicates with Branch Operations Manager concerning vendor delivery dates, special orders and non-stock items.

· Helps to coordinate customer deliveries requiring special attention.

· Orders sales literature for branch.

· Performs and completes other related duties assigned by Branch Operations Manager.

Minimum Education/Experience: HS diploma, or GED equivalent, is required. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Previous counter sales, HVAC, and customer service experience is desired. Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Must be able to use general office machines and multi-line telephone. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
