Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the schedules
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and updating patient information
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow
Experience:
- Previous experience in medical administrative support or related field preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Experience working as a front desk coordinator is a plus
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated
