Eagle Harbor Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is looking for a Cleared Senior System Administrator to join the team in DC.

- Active Top-Secret clearance (the candidate may start with the Secret clearance with the understanding that he will be put up for a clearance upgrade immediately upon start)
Responsibilities
- Build, upgrade, manage and maintain VMware environments to include ESXi hosts, vCenter with advanced configuration i.e., Cluster, HA, DRS, vMotion, Distributed virtual switch , etc.
- Configure and deploy Microsoft SQL Server 2019
- Operate, maintain, configure and update a Microsoft Server 2016 environment that extends to three (3) remote sites.
- Install, configure, and administer enterprise storage systems to include Dell EMC Dell VNXE products, with a focus on Veeam.
- Provide support for configuration, deployment and troubleshooting VMware vSphere 6.x and 7.x
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Object, Domain Controller, Active Directory and WSUS.
- Deploy upgrades and patches to server hardware and software components in physical and virtual environments as required.
- Configure and maintain Symantec Endpoint Protection server.
- Manage the upgrade and maintenance of the HP products to include iLO firmware and OS Software.
- Support MDM (Mobile Device Management) administration.
- Assist with the assessment of vendor development/test strategies, perform systems troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common problems.
- Document processes and procedures and participate in team documentation reviews
- Provide operational support of Cloud servers directly or in conjunction with Cloud Service Provider (CSP) such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), performance monitoring, backups, etc.
- Manage user account access and periodic validation per Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM)/Foreign Affairs Handbook (FAH) requirements.
- Maintain procedural and technical security compliance, examples: Authority to Operate (ATO) via approved/current Assessment and Authorization (A&A), patched servers, current anti-virus, etc.
- Function as point of contact when working with vendors to submit service/support tickets and troubleshooting issues.
- Participate in daily standups and submit weekly status reports.
Required Skills
- Six (6) Years of experience in Systems Engineering and/or Systems Administration with Bachelor’s in Science; Four (4) Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD; or 10 years of Systems Administration experience without a degree.
- Existing Clearance Required: Active Top-Secret clearance (the candidate may start with the Secret clearance with the understanding that he will be put up for a clearance upgrade immediately upon start).
- Report onsite four (4) days a week.
- Demonstrated experience in VMware tools such as vSphere, ESXi hosts; ability to fully manage and implement Virtual Machines without guidance and proven past experience in doing so.
- Demonstrated experience in managing Storage Area Network (SAN) such as Dell VNXE and Dell EMC, Veeam.
- Demonstrated experience in configuring and managing domain controllers and domain services, multi-factor authentication (MFA), Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), Windows Server 2016, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Demonstrated experience in server management/administration, hardware maintenance, and backup procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in managing enterprise images and packages, ensuring timely deployments of software/security updates, integrating new hardware and software into existing infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in identity and device management (i.e., Active Directory, Single Sign on).
- Demonstrated experience in Amazon Web Services
- Demonstrated understanding of cloud productivity suites including Microsoft’s Office 365 and Google G-Suite.
- Demonstrated understanding of database administration, best network and security practices, virtual LAN configurations.
- Demonstrated understanding of protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, Telnet, TCP, and UDP.
- Demonstrated understanding of scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell and PowerCLI.
Desired Skills
- Demonstrated experience in creating, updating, reviewing, and maintaining documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to master new skills, tools, and technologies.
Preferred Certifications:
- VMWare Version 6.7/7.0, Microsoft MCSE, Security , Server
Working Environment & Conditions
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
