Summary

As a QA Lab Manager you will be responsible for planning, building, maintaining, and improving the QA test lab infrastructure that supports the validation activities of an organization that develops a cloud video surveillance solution. You will be responsible for a lab made up of surveillance equipment including cameras, switches, bridges and other devices that are used for manual testing, automated testing, and remote debugging. This is a hands-on role. You will be successful if you have previous experience with configuring and installing both hardware and software. You should be at ease working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in which developing and cultivating partnerships with multifunctional teams is key to long term success. A start-up mindset is required as we are always looking for creative ways to take on problems and increase the overall quality of our products.
Position is located on site, 5 days a week, in Austin, TX. 

Experience

• 2 years as a Lab Manager, Software tester, or Hardware tester for a company that builds cloud connected devices and services
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• An understanding of modern tools and technologies needed to support large scale distributed systems (Docker, Kubernetes, Virtualization, etc.)
• An understanding of Network switches, cabling, and TCP/IP setup
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving networking issues
• Experience building and maintaining QA lab hardware setups with asset tracking
• Experience with development and testing tools including Jira, Qmetry etc.
• Problem solver with excellent communication and documentation skills
• Understanding and expertise in the security, surveillance or IOT domains is a huge plus
