TITLE: Desktop Support Specialist II
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
SHIFT: Monday - Friday from 7AM to 4PM (times subject to change)
STATUS: Full-Time W2 with Benefits
SALARY: $23/hr - $24/hr depending on experience
Job Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches. Managing all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks. Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.

Essential Duties:
The Field Service Technician will perform the following key functions:
  • Manage the day-to-day functions of using technology including, but not limited to, network, e-mail, and various software systems Windows (Desktop/Server) operating systems, including knowledge for VMware
  • Ability to deploy software using Network/Server
  • Knowledge and Support of Open Directory, Active Directory.
  • Installation of all new desktop computers, assist with server installation, and computer-related equipment (printers and other peripherals)
  • Installation and troubleshooting use of interactive teaching solutions (boards & projectors)
  • Repair and replace non-functioning computer equipment
  • Create, maintain and update all required computer images
  • Assist with maintaining and upgrading networking equipment as required
  • Install and support of software and updates as necessary
  • Maintain appropriate physical security and control on all computer assets
  • Maintain inventory records of all equipment (purchases, placements, repairs and final dispositions)
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all computer-related equipment in order to facilitate timely troubleshooting and repairs
  • Performing other duties as assigned
