Dynamic Service Solutions is Hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist Near Miami, FL

This is not a remote position, but you must be available for deployment across the U.S.
Dynamic Service Solutions is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist that will address the psychological, emotional, cognitive, developmental, and social impact that disasters have on survivors and responders as they respond and recover. Leading, strengthening, and unifying human services to prepare, respond, and recover from emergencies and crises.
This position supports the Office of Human Services and Emergency Preparedness Response (OHSEPR) that manages the US Repatriation Program which provides temporary assistance to U.S citizens and their dependents for up to 90 days after they are returned to the United States by the U'S Department of State. Dynamic Service Solutions asset OHSEPR with the emergency management aspect of the U.S. Repatriation Program.
Essential functions:
1. Provide trauma-informed mental health and psychosocial support services to adults and children retuning to the U.S.
2. Develop strategies that provide mental health services and psychosocial support to the OHSEPR program.
3. Provide education to families about inpatient and outpatient processes and resources.
4. Provide effective culturally competent behavioral health assessments to individuals and families.
5. Provide mental health assessment and maintain confidentiality.
6. Assure project management tasks are completed.
7. Ability to manage conflict, mitigate/respond to stressful situations and engage traumatic stories.
8. Ability to listen with care, treat clients with respect and dignity, and respond to each individual’s unique needs.
9. Ability to understand and maintain professional boundaries.
10. Assist with community outreach, including building relationships with organizations and the community.
11. Practice acceptable ethical and behavioral standards of conduct, promote and ensure good clinical practices, ensuring adherence to program protocols.

Qualifications:
1. Must possess a bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, Public Health, social science, or a related field.
2. Must possess at least 3 years of experience in a similar setting.
3. Experience in an Emergency management setting a plus.
4. FEMA courses a plus.
Working Conditions/ Physical Effort
Work is performed mostly in an office setting. Some overnight travel, public speaking, evening, and weekend work are the requirements of the position. Regular computer work is also required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands and work environment characteristics described above are representative of the physical capabilities that must be met by an employee and the working conditions that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
