Solutions Architect Position Summary:

The Solutions Architect will manage all implementation projects and control changes in scope, schedule, and costs. They will also be involved with the design of the TMS software and will serve in a key role in presenting to the client. They will work directly with the product, project management, procurement, operations, finance, and analytics teams.

Essential Job Duties:

• Conduct transportation analyses of customer business operations and develop solutions relative to various needs and future requirements
• Overall accountability for designing TMS solution and build SOWs that support business goals
• Overcome strategic and operational challenges by analyzing profitability, operations, network & transportation design
• Communicate and implement solutions utilizing various internal and external stakeholders
• Work with TMS support team to build out new client requirements within TMS (organizations, parameters, invoicing requirements, automations, customizations, etc.)
• Manage ERP integrations through RESTful API or file share through SFTP/FTP, via TXT, CSV, and/or XML
• Constant communication both with customers and cross-functional teams to support the design, development, and implementation of TMS for clients
• Participate in scope confirmation sessions with clients and conduct gap analysis to ensure issues are resolved
• Understand customer requirements and develop proposals to ensure contractual value is realized for all parties
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that strategies are aligned accordingly
• Work alongside continuous improvement teams to implement best practices
• Travel to clients across the country for discovery, implementation, training, and/or launch
• Manage relationships and formulate agreements with external parties and vendors
• Help with LTL/TL/Parcel setup, negotiations, and analysis as needed
• Develop and maintain a deep knowledge base of logistics industry
• Mentor team members and share industry knowledge

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Be comfortable with 10% travel
• 3GTMS experience
• Experience with System Automations, Integrations, and other TMS systems
• 3 years of relevant Supply Chain/Transportation experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• MBA preferred, but Bachelor’s is essential in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or General Business
• Must have general knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications such as Visual Studio, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
