Assistant Controller, Staff Accountant, or Accounting Manager’s Dream Job!

This is an exceptional opportunity for a high-potential Assistant Controller Staff Accountant, or Accounting Manager that seeks growth, impact, and work-life balance with one of the most award-winning cultures in Nashville. At the heart of this position is assisting the CFO in providing the most accurate, complete, and timely financial picture to aid in daily operations and strategic planning. You’ll lead our accounting team and daily accounting operations while identifying ways to better leverage technology and streamline processes to gain efficiencies. It’s an exciting opportunity in a brand-new position that will be highly visible to the ownership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Prefer 5 years’ accounting experience.
• Savvy at leveraging technology and streamlining processes.
• Servant leader philosophy.
• Experienced with ad-hoc reporting.

Key Functions

• Lead a small accounting team.
• Maintain the general ledger, financial statements, and daily cash monitoring to aid the CFO in decision-making.
• Oversee monthly 401(k) deposits/filings and assist with annual tax return and financial statement prep. for 3rd party review.
• Lead proactive projects and initiatives to help optimize/streamline processes and better leverage software.
• Develop relationships with our subcontracting partner’s Controllers and Accounting Managers.
• Join CFMA of Middle TN (Construction Financial Managers Association) to engage other financial professionals and stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices within the construction industry.
