POSITIONSUMMARY:

The Enrollment Counseloris responsible for guiding prospective students through the enrollment process,from initial inquiry to registration completion. This role requires strongcommunication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to connectwith prospective students to understand their unique needs and goals. As anEnrollment Counselor, you'll be instrumental in guiding students to theireducational journey. This role involves support and detailed management of theadmissions process, providing comprehensive advising from post-admission toenrollment, and ensuring students are well-informed about financial aid andregistration. You will be a key contributor to meeting our enrollment goals andupholding the institution's commitment to educational excellence.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enrollment Process Coordination: Facilitate the enrollment of new students,ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and processed. 

Copywriting/Editing skillset: Assist with Marketing andCommunications/MARCOM assignments involving messaging to applicants, socialmedia postings; editing responsibilities

Information Sessions and Tours: Conduct in person and virtual informationsessions for prospective students and their families. Ability to work eveningsuntil 8pm and occasional weekend work required.

Database Management: Keep track of student interactions andprogress using institutional CMR and database systems.

Communication: Maintain active and extensive communicationwith prospective and current students through various channels, includingphone, email, chat, and SMS. 

Student Recruitment and Engagement: No cold calling. Proactively respond andoutreach to, engage and follow up with interested prospective students andre-admitted students, understanding their needs and aligning them with suitableprograms.

Admission Process Management and Post-AdmissionAdvising: Oversee the entire admissionsprocess, from initial inquiry to the completion of registration. This includes evaluating applications,facilitating decisions, and communicating outcomes to candidates. Provideongoing support and guidance to students after admission, assisting them inunderstanding the next steps toward enrollment.

Registration Support: Advise prospective students on academicprogram options through one-on-one consultative interactions. Assist students with course registration,ensuring they are enrolled in the correct classes and understand their academicschedule.

Financial Aid Assistance: Advise students on financial aidoptions, helping them navigate the application process for scholarships,grants, and loans. Explain financial aidoptions and application process; assist with FAFSA completion and loanapplications.

Goal Achievement: Using your talents and problem-solvingskills, recommend ways to help meet specific enrollment targets, analyzing datato develop strategies for improved performance. Achieve monthly goals forcontacted prospects, completed applications, and semester based closedenrollments on a semester-basis

Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, includingfinancial aid, Registrar, and academic advising, to ensure a seamless studentexperience.

Compliance andTraining: Stay informed of and adhere toall relevant regulations and policies, and engage in ongoing professionaldevelopment. Ensure compliance with FERPA,Title IV, and other applicable regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications:

High School Diploma and 1-3 years of experience.

1 – 2 years’ experience in customerrelations, sales, higher education, particularly in admissions, financial aid,student accounts, or advising and registration or related fields.

Familiarity with academic programs andofferings

Proficient inusing technology for communication and data management

Preferred qualifications:

Associates Degree in business or related field from an accredited institution.

Knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office Software;familiarity with Slate and Banner preferred.

Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination ofexperience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is notlimited to, the following:
