Volunteer Services Coordinator

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council/Kane Senior Council (DSCC/KSC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), volunteer-driven organization committed to the well-being, socialization, and health of seniors. DSCC/KSC is the designated Meals on Wheels and Community Dining provider in DuPage and Kane County.

DSCC/KSC is looking for a Full-Time Volunteer Services Coordinator to support and coordinate our ever-growing volunteer base in both DuPage and Kane County, including collecting volunteer information and maintaining up-to-date databases. Manage day-to-day activities, including follow-up with volunteer inquiries via email/phone, coordinating and implementing volunteer training, and follow-up with paperwork. An ideal candidate would be self-motivated, highly organized, and have excellent written and verbal customer service skills. Customer/Contact Relationship Management Tool (CRM)experience is a plus.

Volunteer Services Coordinator Responsibilities/Tasks

• Manage online and phone volunteer solicitations through a Customer/Contact Relationship Management tool.
• Enforce volunteer procedures and policies
• Assist with outreach activities i.e., senior fairs and community meetings
• Maintains volunteer records, volunteer hours, and other data in databases
• Work collaboratively with Administration/Program staff to enhance volunteer recruitment and experience
• Provide regular participation within community groups who participate in volunteer activities
• Coordinate and participate in volunteer meetings, activities, award ceremonies, and celebrations

• $47,000 - $52,000 ($23-$25) Hour Commensurate with experience

Qualifications 

• College Degree relevant to the position or equivalent work experience to the position
• Knowledge and experience in volunteer management 
• Position requires a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
• Must have an acceptable driving record

Skills/Experience Desired

• Strong organizational, communication, research, project management, writing skills, PC pro?cient, and Microsoft software
• Customer/Contact Relationship Management Tool (CRM)experience
• Experience working with tight time frames and quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public
• Ability to interact well with older adults
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
