Manager on Duty
Job Description:
The Manager on Duty works with the Front Office Management team to oversee the front office and valet departments to include: Front Desk Supervisors, Front Desk Agents, Night Auditors, PBX Operators and Bellman and Traffic Control staff. The MODs core goals are to: maintain the highest levels of guest satisfaction and exceptional customer service; ensure guest issues are resolved quickly and appropriately; ensure budgets and payroll guidelines are maintained; hire, train and schedule staff in these departments.
Job Duties:
· Assist in hiring and training of new staff members. Work on ongoing training with staff members on a daily basis.
· Help create staff schedules in line with budget constraints outlined.
· Complete daily payroll tracking to ensure budgets are maintained as well.
· Work with the Front Office Management team to implement and maintain processes to keep guest satisfaction scores and standards at the highest levels.
· Update daily adjustment reports and ensuring they stay within guidelines established.
· Ensure all in house balances are paid in full and current.
· Follow up on staff checklists and reports to ensure they are completing proper follow up with guests.
· Assist in overseeing the inventory of all front office supplies.
· Count daily safes and ensure proper change is maintained for staff.
· Ensure key and radio controls are maintained within your departments.
· Assist in following up on Tripadvisor comments and guest surveys to ensure corrective measures are taken for complaints and that they guests are contacted.
· Help to prepare agendas and conduct monthly staff meetings for your departments.
· Timely follow up on additional requests from management and work with other departments as a team to ensure all standards are maintained.
Job Requirements:
· This position is 20% office work and 80% work at the front desk. When office work is completed, the MOD is expected to be present at one of the two front desks working with staff.
· Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
· Minimum of 2 years of management experience, with at least 1 years of front office management at progressively higher levels preferred.
· Other duties not listed may be required.
