We are seeking a skilled and experienced Real Estate Litigation Paralegal to join our esteemed legal team. Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of real estate litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to real estate litigation matters.
- Prepare discovery requests, responses, and document productions, and assist in managing the discovery process.
- Organize and review documents, evidence, and exhibits for use in depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in litigation matters.
- Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Maintain case files and electronic databases, ensuring all documents and correspondence are accurately recorded and updated.
- Assist attorneys in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required; paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a paralegal, with a focus on real estate law and litigation.
- Strong understanding of real estate law, litigation procedures, and legal documents.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research using online databases and resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal software applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
