Position - Manager, Business Controller for Air & Sea Division, US & Canada

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to join our regional financial shared service center in Iselin, New Jersey as a Manager, Business Controlling. This position requires on-site presence.

The Manager, Business Controller will collaborate closely with the DSV Air & Sea division senior management team and branch managers, in providing financial insight into their country and local branch results. For month-end close the business controller provides operational reconciliation work to the team and provides operational financial insight to group controllers, in Denmark, Europe.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance colleagues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting 50 branches in US and Canada.
• Providing financial insight on branches and countries performance to budget and expected forecast for rest of the year. Pinpoint areas of focus, to assist in decision-making and cost savings opportunities.
• Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and business growth.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, and managing the budget process.
• Provide timely and accurate financial analysis, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management by providing insights and recommendations on key financial matters.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements and streamline financial operations.
• Assist in the preparation of board presentations, business cases and other financial reporting requirements as needed.
• Support in mergers and acquisitions when needed.
• Supervisor for 1-2 employees

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance
• 10 years' experience with financial and business controlling.
• Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle
• Experience with reporting financial information to group functions
• Experience working in large organizations.
• Experience with M&A and integration is a plus.
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
• Experience in freight forwarding and logistics industries is a plus.

• Fluent in English

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance.
• Work location is an office building located in Iselin, New Jersey.
• This is a fast-paced, and fast-growing company.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $104,500- $130,500/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
