POSITION: Special Projects Manager GRADE LEVEL: 6-12 LOCATION: DSST: Cedar Campus SALARY: $72,000 - $87,000 based on aligned years of experience up to 10 years. We also offer a relocation stipend for anyone joining us from 75 miles or more from Denver! STATUS: Full time year-round, benefits eligible, exempt, hybrid position (part time in school and part time remote) START: First day of new staff training at the end of July. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Special Projects Manager (SPM) will take on a hybrid position that will report to the Associate School Director and will execute key logistics and day to day operational support for the campus including scheduling, compliance, assessment, and operational workstreams. Campus Project Manager Responsible for managing all campus scheduling (may include but is not limited to creation of the bell and class schedule, student schedules, Infinite Campus entry, and alternative schedules) Support with enrollment/registration and October count in conjunction with Operations Assistant. Manage ordering process for school supplies including reconciliation of accounts. Manage and execute on all compliance for 504 and Gifted and Talented programs Work with the leadership team to plan and execute other projects and new initiatives to support operations and student achievement at the school through completion Assist with the development of administrative policies, procedures, and guidelines Correspond with staff members and families as needed around operational, compliance and assessment initiatives Manage planning and execution of major events (ex. conferences, field trips, 6-12 events such as campus wide Potluck) Serve as a recruiter for new students; actively engage prospective families in an effort to draw more students to choose your school; be willing to take on additional tasks to support recruitment, as needed. Collaborate with the Home Office Operations team to continually streamline and improve operational processes Testing/School Assessment Leader (SAL) Schedule, plan for, communicate, and execute internal testing (Interim Assessments, Finals, iReady, ANET, P/SAT, CMAS, ACCESS, Performance Assessments etc.), including accommodations Schedule, plan for, communicate, and execute external testing (PARCC, ACCESS, SAT, NNAT, etc.), including accommodations Manage campus completion of READ Act, DPS surveys, and other DPS Site Assessment Lead (SAL)-managed projects Attend DPS training sessions for SAL-related responsibilities MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university At least 3 years of experience in k-12 schools as a teacher, operations team member, or administrator At least 2 years project management experience for a program or team Ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution Strong technology skills including experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office An unwavering belief that all students can succeed in school, reach their most ambitious post-secondary goals, and lead exemplary lives Desire to personally professionally grow in their practice of becoming an anti-racist educator Self-awareness, a regular practice of reflection, and a desire to continuously improve IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color, students with disabilities, and/or multilingual students WHO WE ARE At DSST Public Schools, we are proud to be the largest and highest-performing network of public charter schools in Denver and Aurora with 100% of our students having been accepted into college or post secondary programs since our inception in 2004.
