Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Create and update project plans for client’s teams. Manage communication, Power BI dashboard, and changes to plans. The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.
Typical task breakdown:
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. Provide facilitation for project teams, leading control meetings and chartering/planning sessions for medium to large projects. Maintain and improve processes for generating customer deliverables. Maintain program level issues/action logs, risk registers, scope change requests/logs, program work plans, and program cost tracking. Maintain accurate project schedules and create report packages and communicate project status to team members and stakeholders. Make recommendations to the project team to resolve schedule and project cost issues.

Interaction with team:
- Regular project update meetings (virtual & in person), facilitate planning sessions, and regular communication on project status.

Work environment:
- Hybrid schedule possible – 3 days/week onsite expectation
Onsite – office environment either co-located with the client’s project team or the project management office team
Education & Experience Required:
- Four year college or university degree. PMP certification preferred.
- 5-7 years
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Possess extensive knowledge of project management software (Primavera or MS Project), MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint
(Desired)
Possess knowledge of Web Publishing tools (Power BI). May require knowledge of other software tools such as project accounting systems
- This role will involve project plans that have resource & cost loading, so candidate with prior business acumen & budgeting experience is preferred
