Salary:

DSM is in search of qualified applicants for its Business Analyst position. In this role you work will directly with DSM’s clients to identify and solve challenging business problems using data, analytics and technology. Successful team members are excellent communicators, able to learn new technologies and business concepts quickly, and work well in team settings.

Responsibilities

  • Data Preparation: Validate, cleanse, and integrate data from various sources to support reporting and analysis objectives
  • Reporting: Build and maintain reports for clients in various formats; including web-based dashboards, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Analysis: Conduct analysis on data to answer important business questions
  • Reporting and Analysis Design: Create reports, data visualizations, analyses, and/or decision models to answer important business questions. Design measurement frameworks to evaluate operational performance.
  • Quality Assurance Testing: Test applications, databases, and reports to ensure data accuracy and proper function
  • Workstream Management: Support one or more workstreams of a client project, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, or similar field of study
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without restrictions

Preferences

  • Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)
  • Background in data science, machine learning, data mining, and/or statistics
