Job Summary:

de Beaubien, Simmons, Knight, Mantzaris & Neal, LLP (d/b/a DSK Law), founded in 1976, is growing and has an immediate opening for a full-time Paralegal in its Orlando office.

Summary of duties:

• Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings and other matters
• Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, opposing counsel, paralegals, judicial assistants, witnesses, etc.
• Basic legal research and fact investigation
• Prepare initial drafts of pleadings, discovery requests, proposed orders, etc.
• Organize electronic and hardcopy case files
• Prepare electronic hearing notebooks and materials
• Special projects and other tasks as assigned
• Other duties as assigned, not all inclusive

Qualifications:

• 5 years of Paralegal experience in Florida with an emphasis in family law (domestic relations) and criminal defense.
• Must have strong written communication skills
• Strong planning, follow-up, organizational skills and forward-thinking ability
• Self-starter and independent worker
• Ability to handle multiple assignments, cases, or other matters at one time
• Exceptional client service skills
• Advanced computer skills, especially with regard to all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe
• Perfect Law experience a plus
