Description
The Technical PM ensures performance against contract and project requirements; leads a diverse
team of architects, software developers, business analysts, testers, and others.; serves as a single point
of accountability and responsibility to the government; coordinates and ensures completion of
deliverables, and other contractual requirements; performs risk management; manages project
budget; provides technical leadership and design guidance; helps with architectural decisions.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works with both functional and technical project team members to deliver IT solutions in an agile manner.
- Provide management and technical leadership to support complex software development and technical support tasks
- Balances risks, budget, schedules, and resources
- Coordinates cross-functional teams of various sizes with diverse technical skills sets
- Advises senior management on technical issues
- Understands project requirements from both a business and a technical standpoint and serves as the liaison between business users and the project team.
Requirements
Experience Required:
- Formal education (minimum: Bachelor’s degree) in Computer Science or related field
- Requires at least 3 years of Technical Project Management experience
- At least 5 years of experience developing software and/or managing the software development team as a Technical Lead
- Strong Technical Knowledge of software application development
- Hands-on experience providing IT solutions in a variety of technologies such as C#, Java, Python, PHP, Drupal, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.
- Experience managing software development projects using Agile methodology
- Experience coordinating work across multiple teams and departments · Demonstrated ability to plan and lead major technology assignments.
- Experience in delivery of complex enterprise-level software development projects
- Federal Government experience is a plus
Technical Skills Required:
• PMP
• Development experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, PHP etc.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience as software development technical lead
• Experience working with Amazon AWS/Google Cloud
