Summary/Objective:
Directs the operation of Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Engineering in accordance with company policies and procedures. Endeavors to provide the best quality of Guest Services, comfortable room accommodations, and enjoyable atmosphere for our guest enjoyment while meeting designated profit objectives.
Reports To: General Manager
Responsibilities/Duties:
Help maintain a positive guest experience. Smile; be helpful and friendly while providing quick and accurate service.
Develops and coordinates annual objectives for the Rooms Division within the parameters of the company’s objectives, and with direction from the General Manager.
Enforce and implements company policies, procedures, and programs. Establishes controls to ensure that they are followed, and that necessary reports are produced and transmitted to the home office or other destinations on a timely basis.
Supervises all Rooms Division & Engineering employees (Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping and Engineering). Coordinates all departmental activities within the Rooms Division and facilitates communication between departments by conducting regularly scheduled department and supervisory meetings.
Develops and submits budgets and forecast for Rooms and Engineering Expenses.
Reviews and analyzes monthly operating statements to monitor progress toward established targets and implements cost controls for labor and other controllable costs.
Reviews and approves the semi-monthly payroll transmittals before sending for processing.
Directs the employment process for all Room Division and Engineering employees, including hiring, evaluating performance, disciplining, promoting, and terminating.
Administrators the pay program for all hourly employees, ensuring that all wage guidelines are adhered to, and all pay policies are followed.
Directs the training and development of all Room Divisions. Works closely with the department heads to identify needs and provide appropriate training to employees with management and supervisory potential.
Establishes and maintains standards of performance for all Room Division personnel and establishes a relationship that with will motivate them to meet and exceed those standards.
Maintains good customer relations by ensuring quality of service and resolves customer complaints.
Inspects hotel daily to ensure that housekeeping, sanitation, maintenance, and safety standards are met.
Required Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two years of experience in a customer service-related profession or equivalent
  • Prior Hilton experience preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have command of the English language (verbally and written)
Basic mathematical skills.
Must be alert to the customers' needs.
Able to stand for 8 hours.
Must be able to work flexible days and hours, including weekends and holidays.
Able to perform tasks several tasks simultaneously.
Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
