Position Overview:

• Accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits.

• Assists employees with general questions regarding benefits and pay.
• Processing of payroll and benefits reports.

Responsibilities:

• The primary administrator of payroll for Drake.

• Working with Supervisors to ensure that all time off requests are approved/denied and that timecards are approved.

• Processing payroll, running appropriate reports once payroll has been processed, and completing all necessary payroll uploads.

• Maintain necessary folders: I-9, Redbooks for quarterly tax documentation.

• Primary administrator of Paychex/BeneTrac/Fidelity/PayFlex.

• Responsible for ensuring that all necessary personnel changes have been completed.

• Processing and delivery of reports - EE Insurance, PTO liability, Workers’ comp, Active/Terminated employees, hours for Health and safety, Birthday reports for MVR, Anniversary reports for 401K ER, accounting, health and safety reports, Ad Hoc reports for different departments and vendors.

• Completing termination/onboarding paperwork - benefits/processing of final checks.

• Complete Verification of Employment Requests (home and auto loan, financial requests...) and requests for unemployment.

• The primary administrator of benefits audits, including 401K.

• Provide HR portion of the requested information for Bi-annual Travelers insurance audit, Provide HR portion of requested information of accounting audit.

• Participate in the annual Open Enrollment process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when necessary
• Microsoft Windows, Office suite, Paychex, Square9

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Human Resources

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Licenses/Certifications: CPP certifications are a plus
